APPLY TO THE OKANLAMI FELLOWSHIP AT NOTRE DAME! SCHOLARSHIPS AND FUNDING FOR YOU TO LEARN TO
FIX THE THINGS THAT MATTER TO YOU!

Dear NMA member,

Among the many challenges that arose this year, 2020 has highlighted the need for new approaches to how we care for the health of our nation, our neighbors and our families. Are you full of ideas for how to do things better? Do you have a colleague who can't stop talking about their vision for a new kind of medicine?
Is this the moment to turn that inspiration into action?

The ESTEEM Graduate Program, the University of Notre Dame's Entrepreneurship Master's program for students from STEM backgrounds, is seeking candidates for the Okanlami Fellowship in Medical Innovation and Entrepreneurship. We aim to catalyze outstanding physicians, who also show great promise as entrepreneurs, to be innovators in the healthcare field. With the tremendous growth and learning opportunities over the course of 11 months in ESTEEM, we hope to unleash a change agent into the healthcare field who is equipped with all the tools and skillsets necessary to make a systemic impact. All of this stems from the Notre Dame's founding mission, which aligns with the mission of this gift’s benefactors, to be a “...powerful force for good in the world.”

Through the generosity of the Okanlami Family, we are able to provide substantial tuition support to the selected fellow(s). With the education, connections, and resources provided by ESTEEM, our graduates are changemakers who are "disabusing disability in medicine" (Feranmi Okanlami, '15) and "Fighting to Help Others Walk Again" (Marissa Koscielski, '18).

The application and requirements can be found on ESTEEM's website and the application deadline for next year's fellowship, beginning in June of 2021, is March 15, 2021.

Thank you for reading and my very best wishes for a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

Sincerely,
